Barchester’s Charitable Foundation is a registered charity that helps older people and adults with a disability across England, Scotland, Wales and Jersey. Our focus is about connecting or re-connecting people with others in their local community, and we support applications that combat loneliness and enable people to be active and engaged.

We help with many different types of mobility equipment, specific to the needs and situation of each individual.

Off exploring
Mobility equipment is key to getting people living with a disability out and about in their local community and giving them independence.

Staying active
There are many ways of staying active when you get older and walking football is one of them.

Specialist equipment for disabled people provides freedom and independence for a long time to come.

Activities for older people
We provide funding for groups activities such as physical exercise, arts and crafts, flower arranging, music therapy and singing.

Outdoor space where people can get social, healthier and happier is more important now than ever.
What's happening and who we've helped

We are delighted to have five highly committed Barchester runners taking part in the AJ Bell Great North Run on Sunday 7th September.

For the fourth consecutive year, colleagues from Barchester Healthcare’s care homes and hospitals have put themselves through the Tour de Barchester, a gruelling 242 mile cycling challenge to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.

At the beginning of this year we awarded funding to Shift Together. They are a community interest company based in Treorchy, Cardiff. They are dedicated to providing free accessible mental health support groups within RCT and South Wales.
